Forget-me-not blockprint

As a young man David served as a wildflower warden and made drawings in the field. He kept them hidden away for twenty-five years until he met master printmaker Cameron Short who taught him how to use his drawings to cut blocks for printmaking. David’s intimate knowledge of wildflowers and birds and his love for them, is reflected in these simple, elegant renderings.

Printed with oil-based inks on cotton rag paper.
